Fat People Kicked Off Popular Dating Site
I'm not exactly up to date on my news, I understand. I'd recently read that fat people, or those who had gained weight, were kicked off the popular beautifulpeople.com website. You can read the story here.
A beautifulpeople.com representative was quoted as saying “Letting fatties roam the site is a direct threat to our business model and the very concept for which BeautifulPeople.com was founded.” Wow.
I would honestly say that I'm not the biggest eye catcher of all the times (yes, I said ALL the times), I don't have a one pack or gargantuan biceps, but what biceps I do have can administer a wicked tight head lock if you get out of line! The point is that I probably wouldn't qualify for that site and I'm good with that because I'm good with “me.”
Confidence goes a long way, too. I've dated women of, um, various shapes, shades and sizes in my dating adventures. I'm friends with a good number of them still and I think too much value is placed on looks, for sure. I'm not going to tell you that looks aren't important. They are, it's what get's to the front door typically. However, once you peel that sparkly wrapper from your “gift” you know you're hoping for something awesome inside. That's how I see it and I know I'm not alone there.
Really, it's the loss of the other members on that crap website that plays into what's wrong with dating anyway. I'd encourage people to try a service like My Blind Cupid, which, as of this writing, is still in Beta, I believe.
Anyway, that's my random two cents today. What do you guys think about sites like this and what they did?

Nice to see the master race plan's going well in the dating world too now? I guess if a private organization chooses to be jerks, ce la vie.
I think you're right about the confidence factor…we're not much without it.
It is nervy of them to come right out and say, "no fatsos". These are the sort of demented people who probably don't have much else going on for them. I feel kind of sorry for them.
Making a Great personal ad – Show who you actually are – Should you have a great sense of humour, don't just tell individuals that you're funny prove it in your ad. Be realistic. Most people don't look like film stars, most of whom do not appear so great in actual life either. So manage your expectations on what the person you are going to meet on-line is going to appear like.
