the Urban Dater is a blog that covers the topics of dating, sex, relationships, and love. It's a place to chronicle all the discussions on the stomach butterflies, the heartache, the confusion, and the joy that comes with romance, and place them in one space for all to read.
the Urban Dater is about featuring real stories and real life experiences, and in the process, hopefully imparting some wisdom to the Urban Dater's many readers.
Who/What is the Urban Dater and How Did it Get Started?
the Urban Dater was started by Alex Vasquez, a web developer by day and boring mouth breather by night. He wanted to sharpen his internet marketing skills and learn the burgeoning SEO game, as it was at the time.
Over the years the Urban Dater has taken on a life of its own and it's been interesting to see it morph over the years from a single author blog to a community with a couple hundred over three hundred contributors. the Urban Dater has become a well-read and highly visited site that provides information, education and inappropriate humor (and we like it that way).
What Else Do We Do?
In addition to our regular blog posts, we also take questions from our readers. We also offer other bloggers the ability to promote themselves and their projects with Guest Posting Opportunities. For advertisers, the Urban Dater is a content rich platform with new content on a daily basis. We offer a variety of opportunities, from sponsored posts, text links, banner ads and more.
Who are we?
We're just a couple of folks, just like you, that have some things and some stuff to say about dating.
Alex Vasquez — Founder of the Urban Dater, Dev Lead and the Honorably Mentioned “Editor-in-Chief” of the site.
Past Contributing Editors
Betty Mars — Betty's sharp wit found its way into a number of articles on the Urban Dater. While her time here was brief her impact was profound. She can be counted on to devour vast quantities of books, creating art, or strumming random tunes on her Ukelele.
Ms. Taylor Cast — Taylor produced a lot of great content and managed our community as the Urban Dater got off the ground. She would eventually leave to start a family. She went and got married to a fine fellow and has three lovely kiddos.
