22 Reasons You Don’t Have to Be With the One

When it comes down to it, you just have to truly understand what you’re looking for. And you don’t have to conjure a checklist or an elaborate situation. Approach it with wanting everything good but the “One.” Let the “One” look for you instead.

And not searching for the “One” could be pertinent for several reasons. You…

  1. Just got out of a serious relationship.
  2. Are not in a stable frame of mind, health, or existential state.
  3. Still want the freedom to travel, to explore, and to date around!
  4. Don’t want the accountability or consequence of taking care of another person.
  5. Want a new, fresh slate; this could mean a different location, job, or makeover.
  6. Don’t know what love is.
  7. Are pursuing a promotion, studying for your Master’s, or helping build a library in Guam.
  8. Want to really master the art of geocaching.
  9. Want to explore your sexuality.
  10. Care too much of finding the right person.
  11. Don’t care at all about finding the right person.
  12. Want to focus on building relationships with your close friends and family.
  13. Have too many heavy life-crises occurring in your life now ranging from suffering a job slump to an illness to moving to losing a loved one.
  14. Are investing in building community, colleague, and coworker relationships.
  15. Know exactly what you’re looking for.
  16. Have no idea what you’re looking for.
  17. Want to launch your own business, line of products, or NGO organization.
  18. Have a furry, best friend called Chase or Fluffy.
  19. Are still figuring what emotional intimacy is to you.
  20. Understand that marriage isn’t probable for you.
  21. Understand marriage is a finite possibility for you.
  22. Still don’t know who you are.
